McMullen Company Signs Solidica to Lease in Valley Ranch Business Park
ANN ARBOR, MI – McMullen Company, an Ann Arbor commercial and residential real estate development and management firm, has signed Solidica, Inc. (www.solidica.com), a fast-growing provider of electronics sensor systems and solid-state fabrication solutions, to a lease for office and manufacturing space in Valley Ranch Business Park on Ann Arbor’s south side.
Solidica’s new headquarters are in Water Tower Place, one of multiple buildings owned and managed by McMullen Company in Valley Ranch. Solidica’s move more than doubles the amount of space it had in its previous Ann Arbor headquarters.
“We needed a facility that would smoothly combine professional offices with advanced manufacturing, while conveying a sophisticated image,” says Tina Raiford, Solidica’s Chief Financial Officer. “We found the perfect fit in Water Tower Place. We especially like how McMullen was able to recognize the current needs of Solidica, and are confident they will be able to accommodate any further growth with the flexibility their portfolio provides.”
Solidica was introduced to McMullen by Newcombe Clark of Bluestone Realty Advisors, a real estate brokerage firm in Ann Arbor.
Solidica’s proprietary technology enables users to quickly “grow” dense metal parts, novel material, and injection tools while optionally embedding fibers and advanced electronic elements. The company provides solutions for users in aerospace, automotive, medical, rapid prototyping/tooling, electronics, military, and other industries.
This past June, Solidica’s technology received a Gold Award from Sensors magazine in the “Best of Sensors Expo” Awards honoring the most exciting new technology on display at the Sensors Expo & Conference in Rosemont, IL.

Through four generations, McMullen family members have developed commercial and residential real estate in the Ann Arbor area.
